The newly appointed Honourable Commissioner for Home Affairs, Hon. Olanrewaju Ibrahim Layode has expressed readiness to work assiduously to achieve the THEMES PLUS Agenda under the Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu administration, which encompasses social inclusion, youth development and gender equality.
Hon. Layode disclosed this during the short reception held in his honour upon his appointment as Honourable Commissioner for Home Affairs in the conference Room of the Ministry to welcome him to the Ministry.
Layode stated that he is ready to operate an open door policy and an all-inclusive tenure in the discharge of his responsibility as the political head of the Ministry, adding that he is willing to cooperate and welcome ideas from members of staff.
He expressed that as a big family, staff of the Ministry must be ready to work and be focused to achieve great results.
Layode however thanked the Staff for the warm reception accorded him.
In her welcome address, the Permanent Secretary, Mrs. LoladeAina expressed enthusiasm on the appointment of the Honourable Commissioner as she pledged the unwaveringcooperation and support of the workforce in the Ministry.
Aina prayed for wisdom and understanding for the Commissioner in executing all his aassignments.
Hon. Layode until his recent appointment was a member of the Lagos State House of Assembly where he served as House Committee Chairman on Home Affairs.
